Academic Overview

The mission of The North Broward Preparatory Schools is to provide all students with a rigorous and challenging college preparatory education. The North Broward School and Lighthouse Point Academy offer a nurturing and personalized environment in which each student will find encouragement to excel and achieve the fullest measure of personal and intellectual self-discovery with a heightened sense of self-esteem.

The task of preparation is not only an important but also complex responsibility that the school enthusiastically accepts. It includes the acquisition of knowledge and skills at age-appropriate levels to effectively master a consistent and cohesive academic regimen determined by that required for college admissions. At the same time, it appreciates the importance of students recognizing "how" they learn best, as well as what they learn.

Descriptions of the NBPS curriculum are defined within The North Broward School or Lighthouse Point Academy programs and identified by the Upper School (grades 6-12) and Lower School (grades PK3-5) Divisions.

Please also note that only the Head of the School in which your child(ren) are enrolling have the authority to make commitments regarding the nature of the program, specific arrangements for your child(ren), or other changes from the school's regular curriculum.
