| The Arts: Create, Improvise, Explore NBPS offers a vibrant fine arts education that fosters curiosity in and sensitivity to the world around us. At every grade level we offer sequential learning opportunities that use the fine and performing arts to teach students to be creative and self-disciplined critical thinkers. Students become producers and then masters of their art forms. Through this process, they grow into sources of knowledge, inspiration and motivation for others in the community.
Exploration of the arts fosters exposes students to a broad range of concepts and helps them understand society, other people and themselves. Our program gives them opportunities to think independently, view their world in new and insightful ways, and begin to explore careers in the arts.
Our creative community is acutely aware of the importance of giving back to others. We guide fine and performing arts students to use their creativity in community service and to influence the lives of others through sharing their time and talents. The Fine Arts Department offers courses in music, media, art, dance and theatre.
