Community Service

At NBPS we recognize the importance of being a responsible and contributing member of the local and world communities in which we live. As a school, we devote at least one day each month to community service and fundraising for good causes. From packing goods for earthquake victims to writing letters to those serving in the armed forces to collecting toys for underprivileged children, our students and faculty put their hearts into helping others.

In the Lower School, students conduct food drives at Thanksgiving and toy drives at Christmas, in addition to other activities.

Some of our Middle School students' favorite projects are holding bake sales and selling candy-grams to raise funds for local and national charities. The Middle School Student Government, National Junior Honor Society and Advisory Groups work on projects to help others in need.

In High School we continue the emphasis on the importance of community service and the personal gratification that comes from assisting others. Students have a graduation requirement of a minimum of 100 hours of community service.
